The onset of COVID-19 has severely impacted our community outreach and ability to foster the relationships that had been developed since the Golden Ray event began. The State of Georgia’s “shelter in place” directive has removed the convenience of face to face public discussions and community presentations that the Unified Command and surrounding residents appreciated. Efforts to continue the positive connection with the community needs to take a new direction given the present limitations in place to safeguard public health concerns.

The Community Outreach page on the SSIResponse.com website is our new initiative to continue our mutual relationship until this pandemic passes, and we can go back to normal. The Unified Command invites you to look through the galleries of the different phases of the response, submit questions, and offer suggestions to enhance the Community Outreach page.

Stay Healthy!

Respectfully,
